Since the beginning of May we’ve added 187 new clothing articles to the Wardrobe, which means that there’s now over 600 items to choose from. Be sure to check out the video at the bottom of this post to get a glimpse of some of the new additions.
We also figured out a way to allow hat and hair combinations so that avatars wouldn’t have to go bald in order to wear hats. The Wardrobe now includes close to 100 different hats, masks and other decorations, and most of them can be worn with the majority of the 25 hair styles in the Vanity.
Curious how we did it? Well, we sifted through hundreds of possible hat and hair combinations and created exceptions to hide portions of the hair while the hats were on. While a few of the hats can never be used with certain hair styles, we were happy to announce that 80% of the combinations now work in the game.

There were some unique additions to the Wardrobe, including the Alpaca Poncho, a Nuxalk Top with pants, a Straitjacket and a Ladycat outfit consisting of a mask, top, pants and boots. The hat collection now includes the Chef’s Hat, Rasta Hat, as well as the handy Miner’s Hat in black, red and yellow.
We also designed a Tibetan Buddhist Robe, a Tsimshian Top with pants, a Chinese Buddhist Robe, the Cosma Priestess Hat and Coat, a full suit of armor consisting of a mask, top and pants, as well as a dark navy version of the rook-inspired Rookist headpiece and dress.
If you’ve ever wondered why one of the masks in the wardrobe is called the “Irish Fly” in Spanish or why a skirt is named after the Singing Revolution in Estonia, it’s because our team of 30 comes from 10 different countries and we get ideas for new clothes from all corners of the world. The arrival of our newest Japanese teammate Keita reminded us of the many things we love about Japan, so we thought up an entire batch of themed outfits to mark the occasion.
Last week we released a couple of sushi-themed costumes including the Nigiri Ebi Costume, Maki Roll Costume, Futomaki Hat, Ikura Sushi Hat, Uramaki Hat, Japadog Costume, as well as a Space Crusader outfit consisting of a mask, top and pants. You can now dress as a Japanese schoolgirl or wear a Geisha Dress with Geta. The list goes on and on: we now have pink and blue Lolita dresses, a Japanese Monster Hat, a Rebuild Nippon Shirt and many other funky new items.
Check out the video below to see the new selections in the Wardrobe! (We recommend watching it in fullscreen/HD or a few of the items might be hard to see.)
There’s been some great ideas and suggestions in our forums, so keep the feedback coming and let us know what you think of the new styles!
