[Not an issue—just weird] Purple Journey

I won't type out the whole phrase, since not many have tried this yet, but there should be an apostrophe in every occurrence of the word "its" that came up during this little side trip.

Happens to be a pet peeve of mine so I had to say something, somewhere -- awesome new item though, thanks Tiny Speck!

  • Sorry to have to out English-nerd you on this, but it's actually a reference to a repeated line from T. S. Eliot's poem The Waste Land. The quote is repeated verbatim, unorthodox grammar intact.

  • God.  If you knew what I did for a living, it would make you aware that saying "I'm embarrassed I didn't realize that" doesn't even begin to cover it.

  • Oh dear.  Now I'm going to be Googling unfamiliar phrases from Purple.  I recognized the wonderful Lewis Carroll literary references from eating purple flowers but I haven't read much T.S. Eliot.

  • Er, I probably should have said "What I used to do for a living"

In a nutshell, I used to teach that poem, among other things.
