Numbers for Badges

Are these numbers random? For example the Golden Ladle Award requires 137 meals made with the Awesome Pot. Why 137 and not 130; just to keep it random? Not that I mind I think its different from most games where it is every 50 or 100 of something.

  • In another life Stoot used to have a fondness for prime numbers. Maybe he still does.

  • Prime numbers are awesome.

Also, 137 is special in other ways. The internet knows.

  • Lol. I kept assuming that I got the badge for weird numbers because that was the amount I had hit. (I like to do things in large batches)

  • Oh it IS prime isn't it? That's beautiful. Also, research shows that expected, but sporatic rewards are more effective at getting people to like stuff than predictable rewards (e.g multiples of 50).

  • Are we going with the fine structure constant here? Or the golden angle? (No, I did not look those up, I am just that big a nerd)

    Edit: Forgot primeval numbers *facepalm*
