giving furniture and credits

Is there a way I can give furniture and credits to a friend?

• If you are near the friend, like in the same street, you can click the furniture and select the verb "give" and then select your friend.  At least, I think that's what I did.  I did give someone an SDB and that is how I remember it.
  
  No idea about credits.

• You can also mail them furniture.  Another player, who closed their account, mailed me and others a bunch of their non-soul-bound furniture.
  
  Don't think there is away to give credits outside of buying new credits for another player.
