Update: You'll also need to have your Glitch account tied to Facebook- you can do that on this Add Friends page. Also in some cases, it may not work if you have a 3rd party tool that blocks a website from using FB information to interact with. Check this post for info.

Hmm. It's not allowing me to collect the credits. I like you through your link to Facebook. The 'play the game' button appears to work.

Thanks for making such a great game, credits or not! - Gordon Lughsen: Oof, sorry! Does it work if you "unlike" and then "like" us again? It makes an attempt to tell if you already likes us when the page loads, but Facebook doesn't always tell us.

I LOVE Glitch! But not even for 25 credits would I ever go back to Facebook. (I don't like it.)

Also, tried unlinking and relinking my facebook, still waiting on the relink. XD Facebook is slow tonight it seems.
EDIT: I had to try a different browser. Chrome didn't want to do it. It did it with Firefox. - Thanks =)

The idea of one company having that much data about so many individual human beings gives me the heebyjeebies... Especially given their somewhat suspect 'privacy' setting issues.

- Sorry TS, but if this game company is going to start doing everything on FB then you will lose me and a lot of other customers. Just ask the Faunasphere refugees, as I'm sure many feel it contributed to the demise of that game.

It's just advertising, folks. Just like the photo contest. They are running a business after all. All they're saying is that if you help advertise, we'll pay you (but in a nicer way). They are not moving the game to either FB or Twitter.
I opted out of the photo contest because I don't want Glitch on my Twitter profile which is professional mainly for me. But since I'd already announced to friends on FB that I had Glitch invites, I had no problem liking them (I think I already had). We each help out with their advertising projects as much as we're comfortable and TS gives us a little sumpin' in return.
If we don't want to help, we just trundle on back to the game. No big deal. - What, you're too lazy to spam my friends and family directly?

Guys, I don't see how Glitch is connecting itself in anyway to facebook, or facebook is in any way important to play Glitch. They are just trying to advertise themselves via the internet, and the best advertisement has always been and will always be the recommendation of a friend. That's why they suddenly start all those Twitter, FB and other social network campaigns or small little extras.
And let's face it, 25 credits is a nice bonus, but you'll easily get much more for just one month subscription. And in the end, the subscriptions are what Glitch needs. (Apart from the fact that you also don't need the credits to play the game). - ah capitalism...

Louis, I wouldn't mind this stuff with facebook and twitter at all except for the fact that those buttons are in-game when a snap's been taken and there's no way to turn them off.
There's a difference between keeping it out of the game and putting it in the game (or adding advertisements to the glitch.com pages, which I'd hate even more than the buttons on the snap dialogue) and the fact that stuff has shown up in-game with no option to hide it has made me, at least, a bit wary. - Well Step 1 is telling me that I like Glitch but Step 2 is not working. I have liked and unliked a couple times just in case.
- Can I just have a bumper sticker and a T-Shirt please? And I'll pay you to advertise this AWESOME game! :)

Ok lol im not going to. hehe - I have tried several times but the first button doesnt give me a link to facebook. I went in directly and unliked and liked several times but still cant push that redeem button. sad face

@people not liking the FB and Twitter buttons: I don't use them, but TS is using social media as a clever form of free advertisement...nothing wrong with that. People are much more likely to play the game when they find out about it through a friend or a cool looking screenshot. - Personally? I absolutely know games need advertisement, and as much as I don't like social media I know that's a good way to do it. But there's plenty of people who will never use the buttons on the snap and it's really dang annoying to not be able to hide them. If there'd been a hide option, then I'd view threads like this one as "oh yay, people are going to get to hear about Glitch" rather than having my annoyance color it.

You'll need to use the provided link, click on that "Like" button seen in Step 1.
Login to FB from there, and it will activate the Redeem Button. :))

I found out about Glitch through facebook. I don't love facebook and mostly keep an account because my family is all over the world. Thank you, TS for providing me with credits through the link with them. It is not the only way to get credits, but it's a nice little extra thing.
I can understand people wanting alternatives but this is a start and it was mentioned by STAFF :

Myles. - I also had a problem with the first button not showing. Then I realized that I was using the Facebook Disconnect plugin for Chrome. I just disabled it, refreshed the page and everything worked fine. Then I made sure that I re-enabled the plugin (which I highly recommend for anyone interested).

I just wanted to say that I went back and tried some things that other people have suggested. And, like before, even though I'm able to click "like" from the page, I am unable to click on the redeem button.
This is honestly way too much work for twenty-five credits because I've done this about eleventeen billionty times now. - step 2 isnt working for me either, the like link opens a blankpage . so i unlike and relike several times on the fb page but no credits. so going to go play now. if i get creds nice if not whatever. jumped thru the last hoop gonna go jump in some trees lol
