Personally, this is my favorite feature since … almost ever. The mad scramble to find a random kindness rainbow or futz around to do a High 5 when someone comes past means that a lot of the simple acknowledgement I want to do of other people's presence didn't happen — they were gone by the time I got it together.
Plus, the mood boost means finally there's a simple social means to giving each other a little better spirits. (ETA: Oh, and the fact that the "stamp" moves a little slower than you so you can out-maneuvre it is a lot of fun.) - This is cute! I just exchanged heart-hellos with someone, and I don't think we got any bonuses, but I'll keep trying.

But...was I the only one who was waiting for the bat in the little demonstration in the blog to eat the poor butterfly? - I was disappointed there wasn't a cute little arm wave character animation at first, but now I like this! I'm shy, so now I can say hi without talking :D

Allow me to be the first party pooper and say BLECH.
I really, really, REALLY, really wish this kind of thing can be blocked. I find it really annoying sometimes when other players literally stalk me so they can hug/kiss/moon/high-five/whatever me, and it makes me stop playing the game for a while.
(Game stalkers can get downright creepy, I've had other players follow me around the game, going so far as to actually try to follow me into my house. Yes, you can block them and kick them off your street, but you shouldn't have to feel stalked on a game!)

Too late! - Well crap!! The only time I got to try it, so far, and I somehow messed up lol
- Maybe people who don't want to be bothered can select the "don't bother me" option. Then they would have a little raincloud hovering over them. They won't be able to see the cloud (so it doesn't bother them). It would only be visible the rest of us. It would let us know we can't do any actions to them, including IMing them. If we try, we get teleported to the far side of Ur from them. Heehee.

I really love Tibbi's idea!
I'd rarely use the raincloud myself, but it'd be awesome to see a couple floating around like that. - Long ago and far away I asked for an additional "smile" avatar animation. I do understand that animations are probably something nobody wants to go anywhere near atm, and this is about as good if not better. '5'

@Innie: Did I miss something? I don't see anyone saying that there is no rook costume in the works. At least not in this thread.

ETA: I just read the blog post... cute that you get assigned one every game day and the bonus when you find a buddy! Kudos from me. - Eh crash, it has been made ages ago. One of the devs has been wearing the hats for about 5 or 6 months. Its just that they showed it in the picture with all the other costumes upon release. I just got my hopes up....... silly me.

It's not the fact that your hopes get up, it's just that they get SO high up, they break the speed of sound, nearly burn up on reentry, and endanger local population centers, to say nothing of the lives of the first responders.
Now take the damn cocoa! :)
Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if they're keeping the rook costume as a "hole card." for later release. - *drinks cocoa and relaxes.......* Thanks crash :)

We should all stalk crash, since we were asked so nicely. Next time I am ingame, I will look forward to some crash stalking. :) but no splanking. I really hate splanking.

we aren't getting a rook costume. think about it- one dressed as a rook could easily be mistaken for one. hordes of glitchen coming and shooting orb beams at each other. it would be a war. there would be bloodshed.

They will type this just to get points...just like forced fake socialization - Well. *I* like it. So there ;)
- Like it bunches! Much faster than fumbling for RK when in a hurry. The bear hi5 looks like a teddy bear punch in the face to me...so liking this much better...and love the animation of your icon of the day floating towards other players.

ETA: Please don't ever take this feature away!!! It has totally repurposed my point of view on walking past folks instead of stopping to say hi.
