A Key in a Patch

I was on a Home Street when a Patch started talking to me. I went to the wiki so I could copy/paste the exact message for reference, here it is:

  • Hullo!
  • I likes you.
  • I likes you, an' I likes Mahir. Mahir was a Mabbit.
  • Hur hur hur. Yus. Not Mabbit. Mabbite. Eleventy-Fousand yearas before you. Mahir buried fings in patches. Mahir liked patches. Sometimes he did bury musical blockses, and sometimes he did bury secret fings. Bits of Mabbite history an' stuffs.
  • Hur hur hur! No I doesn't has 'em. I don't fink. But somewhere, in some patch, he left a key. An he said that if you FINDS it, you know the secret of the giants.
  • No, wally. Made of metaphoricalisms, his key, that's what Mahir said.

I took this literally, and put a bunch of patches in my backyard, which I have been digging religiously, in hopes of finding this metaphorical, historical key. I'm starting to feel rather foolish.

Has anyone ever found something unusual in a Patch, other than a music box? Was the Patch just pulling my leg?

    I have never found a key in a patch...  but you know?  This game is just full of fun surprises and it wouldn't surprise me one little bit if you dug up something unique and unusual based on this post alone.

    The devs can do special stuff like that.

    I think your efforts ought to be rewarded and encourage TS to bestow a special key that unlocks a bit of Mabbite history an' stuffs!!!

  • I've had this same conversation with a patch, but I don't think I've ever gotten a key or anything key-like out of one.

  • Patches are known to get stinkin' drunk and tell giant whopping lies.

    Worse than *I* do, even.  Way worse.  But I dont mind selling them the drinks, cuz I make some nice pocket change from it.
