Musical Instruments
The instruments themselves don't need to be too complicated. We could have a range of instruments that would each only play a few notes, or even just one, similar to the angklung. A group of glitches with a full set between them would be able to play a whole song! :)

- I can see this being awesome. Just bring up a small UI dialog with at least 5 different pitches for whichever instrument you are using. Click each (or press 1 2 3 4 5 ... on the keyboard) to play the instrument. Especially with keyboard controls, you could really do something awesome with this when combined with other people... Glitch Bands!
- LOTRO does this and people are actually able to upload note lists and synchronize them so you can get multi-part pieces with people cooperating.

I have longed to build a collaborative step sequencer for years (over a decade, actually) and it will happen someday. We first added a synth and a sequencer about a year ago, but have not been able to make it perform well enough in the game.
But, there's a new renderer coming soon which will mean performance improvement ... Maybe that'll be enough. We'll see.
However, we are cooking something up for this outside of the main game ... - +1 million. As a musician IRL this would be the coolest thing ever. Maybe we could even make our own music boxes? Or we could give our butlers instruments and have them play songs for people who come through our street, or even buy a whole set of musical robots that would pay as a badn for visitors. Oh my goodness I'm having a nerd-gasm just thinking about it.

@Janitch, I've never played LOTRO, but I just looked up how music's been implemented. Seems like a cool system, and I might join the game simply to play around with it a bit.
