Shared Housing

I know there's going to be a larger world, so everyone should be able to have their own house... but that doesn't mean some of us won't enjoy sharing anyway!

Currently Jeff and I share a house because in the mad dash for the last properties we didn't have enough currants for one each so pooled our resources.

The problem is, every time I want to go and tend my patch in his garden, or get to my items I've left littering his floor, I have to bother him with a knock. If he's had to go do something else for a while, then I'm stuck.

It would be really nice to have a way to setup "house mates", a person (or persons) who you give permanent access rights (which you can obviously revoke if needs be). Then I could stop bothering Jeff and we could live together happily :oD

  • I agree. Maybe with ownership of a house you could purchase additional house keys of some sort, and hand them to friends.

  • hm .. keys.

so would the key object work for anyone who had the key? that could get interesting, especially if they lost or gave away the key.

then you'd have to change your lock!

    though that's probably needlessly complicated.

  • Perhaps the 'key' isn't a tangible object? What if it's something like notes played on a scale?

  • I was thinking that during the purchase of the key, you would state which player it was for, and no actual item would need to come into play. Though I like the idea of notes on a scale. Or maybe something pedestrian like a pin code?

  • pin code would be even easier to find its way into the wrong hands than a key, unless you keep it only to yourself.

probably easiest just to have an editable list of who may enter.

  • I read that as 'edible' list.

    That could work too...
