IM box needs a chime bell to go off.
Not just for anyone challenged with concentration ,but for all.many times I find I am the type that focus is needed for everything I do,just my nature.I forget many times to look up and see the IM button flash on.I am sure somewhere here it must have been mentioned,I just dont read everything all the time.would so love a chime bell going off for IM.

- +1 This would be so helpful! It not a chime then perhaps a color other than red. I can't count the number of times I took so long to respond to an IM just because I didn't notice it. There's so much going on when I play. I fall over myself apologizing for my unintended rudeness.
- I think it does make a sound, like a little shaker or maracas. But it's not especially loud.

Agreed... a sound or more visual clue would be very helpful! Maybe a big flashing arrow pointing at the tab.
(OK, it wouldn't have to be BIG) - or the sound of someone clearing their throat, a polite little "ahem".
- I do hear a soft sound, like a ping, but I think it happens when someone enters a chat room, not an IM. I will pay more attention next test.
- I always thought there was one, there's at least one for local chat and global chat. It's why I can't join global; I find it completely obnoxious, hearing that sound every few seconds when people talk, lol.
