Dear Stoot,
thank you for all you and your friends have done. This is one of the most awesomest games i've ever played! I really love how the staff members are so open about being staff members and are open to fixxing the bugs! So please tell all of the staff members, I GIVE A BIG THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They say the moon was plucked from the sky so that the giants could find their way amongst the stars.
In turn, they gave us the moon so we could find our way around Ur. But they didn't think it through you see, for they never imagined that they would imagine so many. So, to keep up with demand, they started making moons from fox fibers and giving them to the Glitchen.

Humbaba found this all quite silly, and made fireflies to light the way. Because as every smart giant knew, the moon reflected the stars.

i discovered glitch through word of mouth a few months ago. i graduated high school this june and like every other teenager, i had no idea what i wanted to do with my life. so i opted not to go to college and take a year off while i figure things out for myself. the internet proved boring over the summer, but as it dwindled to an end a bunch of my friends started talking about this cool new game they'd never heard of before. and i mean, EVERYONE, not a person i knew wasn't at lest trying it out. so i asked for an invite and started playing immediately. i had no idea that what i found would blossom into what could be called some kind of addiction...

but it's really more like a second home. thank you for creating something beautiful to relax my mind and bring me closer to people i never would have met without global and random hi's/quests. i look forward to whatever it is you guys have in store for us next!

The end comes for us all and it?s funny to me that we should be sad over this event, and not angry at the time we?ve wasted in a world doomed to die. It?s funny, but not surprising, and not stupid because time spent in Ur was never wasted. Sadness and regret are the only emotions that make sense. We mourn the world, not as it was or will be in the end, but as it could have been if only we?d had more time. We mourn, not for the friends we lose, but the friends we could have made. I don?t know what will happen to us in the end, I?m not sure if the Giants themselves know, but I have my beliefs and I choose believe that this is not truly the end. There may be no more Glitchen to walk the world and there may not even be a world to walk, but things that have been imagined cannot truly be lost. I believe we will live on, in other ways and new imaginations. The Giants will create more worlds and perhaps we will be lucky enough to visit those too. We will remember and be remembered in some form or fashion and maybe someday in another life our stories will be legend.

On November 11th a newish friend of mine asked if I'd ever been introduced to the world of Glitch. I admitted I hadn't, and he promptly invited me to join. At first reluctant, I was instantly absorbed into this beautiful world, it's haunting music and endless opportunity for adventure. I relished the chance to play for time to come. A few days later, the notice was posted of the world's end. As disappointing as it is to be drawn in to something so soon only to see it go, I am glad I gave it a chance and I have no regrets. I am grateful to be a part of Ur even if the time is brief. The imagery and the melodies will be at the fringes of my dreams for some time to come.

You may never have met me, but I have engrossed myself in your work for a fair while. I will admit, I betrayed you a bit. I played this game for a month, in the run-up to a big launch, and forgot about it for quite a while. But after seeing the closing notice on Massively, all the thoughts came rushing back. The fun times I had with friends, the incredibly charming and witty sense of humour, the quirky story, and brilliant soundtrack. The customisation, the maturity of the player base, the up-beat theming with dark undertones, the subtle adult referencing, the immersive zones and the beautiful giants. I rushed back to play and have been enthralled once again. Shame it's going to end. I hope Glitch lives on in people's heads and hearts, and someone will carry the torch or the ripples will reach out into the future. Thank you, so, so much. To paraphrase classic knowledge, nothing lasts forever, and all good things must come to an end.

I thought this good thing would last much longer, but I've been wrong before.

From the day I got my beta invite, to the sweet lullaby of Goodnight Groddle when the testing periods ended, to the Great Reset, to the launch and unlaunch, to the iMG conversion, to the housing overhaul, and every little event and change sprinkled throughout...my love for this game grew and grew and GREW!

There's something to be said for knowing when the end is. With that particular uncertainty out the window, more important things can be focused on: exploration, laughter, creativity, community, and countless other graces.

However, when the game closes for the final time and the Giants wake up from their slumber, I won't be crying. This chapter was worth every moment, and I'm eternally grateful that your brilliant minds saw fit to bestow such a gift upon all the Glitchen.

It's hard to imagine that tomorrow I won't be able to come and check in on my house, and my butler. I left her with supplies so she can live at my house and take care of the street forever. That's how I like to believe things will go on. The butlers are left to tend to Ur.

I hope that as heartbreaking as it mus be for you, that in time, the joy trumps the sadness. We'll all miss it, you, the rest of the team. How this game even lasted as long as it did is amazing. The concept: Visit strange worlds and be nice to each other. No end, no real enemy ( I mean let's be honest, the Rook was just misundestood), no goals that give you specific power over another...how in the hell did you pitch this game? That's a story for the books.

Take care, you and your team know how much you're loved and appreciated, but I want to include my name on that list. I had a lot of laughs and made some friends because of this game, so thank you.

I wish you all nothing but world dominating success, with people like you in it, the good from Glitch may transfer to reality.

If I were eloquent, I might have the right words to express my gratitude for your creative efforts and the safe, calm place your minds imagined and brought to life. Quite the opposite of a suicide note or Dear John letter.... I will truly miss and mourn the passing of our little world. But in my heart Glitch will be ever present(and on my hard drive. For i dumped loads of DR WHO videos to make space for video of the last days.) I will do everything that I can to make sure we are not forgotten in the real world. The Giants may awaken, but we are all still dreaming and creating, inspired by the creations of Tiny Speck. Thank you Stoot and all your pals and cohorts. I hope we all meet again someday. 'Thank you' doesn't seem like enough, and 'I love this game' seems weak in comparison to how I feel about it all. I spent years looking for something even half as perfect as Glitch. I was pretty sure it couldn't exist. When I did find it, I clung to it hard. It was so beautiful to have a home online once again. Thank you to you and all of Tiny Speck a million millions.

All of us players are devastated about losing Glitch, yet you and Tiny Speck bear the greater burden -- to shut down your creation, the game you have been developing for such a long time. I'm so sorry Glitch didn't take off. I'm so sorry that not enough people were this deeply enchanted by this wonderful project. I'm so sorry you had to let your team go. I'm also sorry that I will never get a chance to work in Glitch -- it's the first game I ever thought, "Hey, THIS is a project I would love to work on". To hell with AAA games, to hell with social networks and handheld games. This is where I wished my future would be. So, I'm sorry, but also I am very very thankful for the short time during which Ur was unleashed in the world. Thank you.
