Giant List of Locations for Traveler Achievements (The Penultimate Update as of December 5 2012) Current Count: 1439
An ongoing mystery with street location qualification has finally been solved (after 22 days since this thread first opened on 2011/11/8). A major thank you to everyone who helped report results, data, and information. The key results and findings that were previously uncertain but now confirmed are:
Places that count: Everything in Jethimadh Tower, all one-time quest locations including The Back Alley and Rooks' Woods, both old Hell One and new Hell One. Four locations from the limited time only Cosma Performance Testing.
Places that don't count: Subway Stations, Machine Rooms.
Before the release of new streets in Rasana and Aranna, there were 774 confirmed locations, which matched the maximum, non-glitched high scores leading to confirmation in exactly which streets did or didn't qualify.

There's also a new secret spot hidden in one of the existing secret spots. Sorry I can't say more, but I am contracually prevented from doing so. Let's just say that it's a region in which only a portion of the light source is obscured by the occluding body. Know what I mean??

I had my RL newb friend do a screen dump of the map of Gentle Island this evening for those interested. They have visited all the streets and the leaderboard still shows 5 streets for them. I will give it another 12 hours and check her profile again. Luckily she's too busy to play until Wed due to exams and so we will know for sure by then.
Update: According to some newb players there is a collectable twig you are given upon leaving the island. It is apparently used to ask for help from friends upon entering Ur. -
Right, I snuck in to gentle island today. I started out on 1044 places, and even after game day roll around 3 times my number of places has not increased.
Firstly, TS found out about us sneaky glitch and have blocked all entry now, so I failed to help many others to get in there but at least I've proven it makes no difference to us long timers.
Which probably partly explains why I have 1044 when I don't have rooks woods but do have old hell.
Still i'm not sure if the leader boards are just a bit screwy right now.
P.s. it screwed up anyone visiting my home street and the directions pole until I fully left the island. But I think it works fine now. Plus I did get a twig, I've tried giving it or dropping it and I can't. - The Twig is used to call a Greeter.
- Le Miserable - Vendor quest area that was released early and is currently de-released and unavailable. I do not know for sure, but it likely counts as a street :)
- Yup, I am now up to 1,043. So the quest gave me one more street.

- Also the new The Greedy Street Spirit storybook quest which has replaced Eesti Life as the method for people to gain an emo bear. Though Stoot confirmed Eesti will come back re-purposed.

Hmm... That would put the max at 1086, and I should be one ahead of the max, and I'm at 1088. So Winter Walk is probably like A Summer's Day, how the reminiscence (with the entrance to the bonus location) counts as separate from the first go. So 1087.
(That could use some confirmation, though.) - That would be consistent with what I've seen. My total went up by 3 after an initial visit to Winter Walk and then a "reminiscence" visit to Winter Walk and Winter Haven (i.e., Winter Walk seemed to count separately on the two visits.) Anyone else seeing this pattern?

Tom, I hate to say but there must be some sort of mistake... I was gone from Glitch for 8 months and now that I am back, I've started visiting again. I am currently at 1085 and I've never been to any bugged place as you know from the past! And I have no died yet so that doesn't even count the new Hell Bar thingplace nor the new Party Packages!
All I did was visit:
the new (to me) regions
the new streets, like additional reserves
the 3 enchanted forests
all the basement seam streets + the lobby + all floors of their respective towers
each new quests
and finally all the new Ticket places
So the final "normal" count seriously is way more than 1084. I will try to go all party places and go to Hell soon so I can come back with a number alright! :D - Hi elka, sorry the latest count has not been updated yet. I've been really busy this semester, but working on figuring out the new max total. Sorry about the delay!
- Oh! No biggie dearest, I just thought it was wrong, not that it was late haha!! Take all the time you need in the world, you don't have to do all that, so we're already greatfull enough okay!!
- I am on 1,119 i know i could be on 1,123 or 1,124. did new areas [ got badge] and the latest piggie quest. Was in the top list before then so what can i be missing?
- @Misha - What about the 2 new party locations? All three Vendor Quests? Some of which have second parts?

--Me, not at all sure about this, because if this is right, then I've been to either Rook's woods or Hell One, and I'm pretty sure I've never been to either.
(edited to better name water/bureaucroc quest and better formatting, and then re-edited to actually do what that said) - I have 1124 and know I haven't been to Rook's Wood. But I don't know what is missing from your list.

I'm at 1123 and I have been to Hell 1, but not Rook's Woods. I also have done all of the new party packs and quests except for the rainbow one that came out yesterday. I also have not yet repeated the water drinking quest (if it is repeatable), but I have repeated all of the others, just in case, as some previous quests have different versions if it is your first or second time. - What about new water quest? That's a new location for sure
- I'm at 1124, but I haven't been to the 2 new party areas yet (hint, hint). When I do, I will be at 1126.

Yeah, I'm @ 1123, which theoretically means I'd only missed one "regular" location. But I started 20 days (ARGH!) after the original Hell One was gone, and 2 months after Rook's Woods was discontinued.
So either
1. I've been somewhere I wasn't supposed to (and didn't notice?!?!) OR
2. the math is wrong.
I've been focused on locations for a long time, but I suppose 1. could have been true when I was first starting and didn't realize the difference between party spaces and such.
2. Could easily be true, but I can't figure out where I went wrong. :(
Gordon--I called it "NEW NEW" above (edited), but it's the Radiant Glare quest, and definitely counts. I haven't figured out how to repeat it, though.
GreyGoose--have you been to 2 non-regular spaces? Or are you agreeing that we're missing something?

@ SchWM: Not quite sure what you mean by non-regular spaces. I been tracking my location count carefully since the reset, thanks to TomC ((hugs)). I know I've been to Rook's Woods and original Hell One. I only got 2, not 3, with Winter Walk.
For months now, I have been just one behind a handful of players that I assume have one other location because they were involved in a pre-test of some sort. But I'm assuming that, so maybe there's another secret place I don't know about. Or they got 3 with Winter Walk. I think the players above 1127 are either staff and/or players that were included in trials of some sort......I think. Tom! Oh, Tom, where art thou? LOL -
SchWM, you edited wrong. ;P The "bizarre new quest" was the water/bureaucrat one (Being Watched). The new new one is Radiant Glare.
There's definitely something going uncounted, though. -

So, I think 1125 is currently the max:
I'm @ 1123 and should be 2 behind (Original Hell One and Rook's Woods)
Squiggle-Squee's @ 1123, and should be 2 behind (RW and Radiant Glare)
IrenicRhonda's @ 1124 and should be 1 behind (RW)
@GreyGoose -- Winter Walk is worth three if you repeat it (which you can do @ any Vendor). Or go into the little extra room at top right through the cloudy portal thing. "Non-regular" spaces are spaces that were never meant to be travelled to (developer-only and/or testing spaces). Not sure if you got to your parties yet, but you're currently @ 1124, which would make sense if you had, but still hadn't finished all the Winter places.
@ E D D I E -- Thanks for the catch! Did you reminisce all the quests yet ? Winter Walk / Le Mis / etc ? Or do Radiant Glare? You say above that you're one ahead of the max, and you're currently @ 1125, which would contradict my guess above...
There are currently
5 people above 1127,
3 people @ 1127,
12 people @ 1126,
17 people @ 1125, and
13 people @ 1124.
So at least 20 people have gone to a "non-regular" place. Still like to know what place I'm missing in the list above, though. :)
Maybe Walk Toward the Light is actually two places?

I am always up to date with the locations. I am just missing Rook Woods and so can confirm the top street number should be 1125 (incl. Rook Woods).
In terms of visiting all accessible locations depending on when you joined the game your end total should be
1124 (without Rook Woods)
1123 (without Rook Woods and old Hell)
1119 (without Rook Woods, old Hell and the 4 Cosma test locations)
I can only assume it is a bug that counted visits to places when it shouldn't have (subway, old quarters) I would love some insight from the devs and those in the 12 people bracket. - Ok so i have found my missing location. Once i have done the two new party packs i will be on 1126. I have done Hell one and Rook wood. I have never been to any undisclosed areas so i believe the top "normal" Glitch score would be 1126 / 1124 for anyone missing Hell one and Rook Wood:)
- What was the location you were missing out of interest? I have been over all locations listed in Tom C's list again and again and I have visited all.

I re did the Winter Walk and found the porthole. Then discovered i was missing one of the Old apartment places found behind the keyed doors. I thought there were 5 of them but there are SIX. Hope that helps. I just re did as many of the quests/reminiscing as i was able to in the hope something poped up. Your missing location IS out there some where, keep at it and good luck :) -
Sorry about the delay; thanks everyone for detailing the new locations and keeping count. The list has been updated, and the max regular count is now at 1125.
Both Winter Walk and Winter Haven have repeat versions, so there are 4 locations total with the Winter Walk quest.
Note: May need to hard refresh to see new list. -
I have been through the entire list again and have visited all locations. I would agree with Tom C's latest list of 1125 being the top total taking into account all the streets and instances that have ever been made publicly available.
I have always consistently been one street behind those that have Rook Woods
Tom - It should also be noted that Eesti Life Catalogue is currently unavailable due to the Greedy Street Spirit replacement and Stoot has confirmed it will return with a different purpose in the future. - Ah thanks for the heads up, Cleops! The new version might count as a different location...

Ahh! Two repeats from Winter Walk. Very cool.
--Me - I am at 1121 and I never visited the Cosma places... Can't remember doing Rook Woods either! Also does anyone know if the "Taster" versions of Party Packs count just as same or as a different location?
- I have 1124 and I joined after Old Hell disappeared and after Rook's woods was removed. Maybe you've missed something?

Taster Packs most definitely get you to the same location (they just don't last as long without people feeding the meter).
AC2k-- perhaps you got into one of the developer-only locations? Ever go to an unusual party?
There's a whole group of people who have been places not on this list, because they where never made available to the general public.

AwesomeCardinal2000, you might have visited a location that was later changed, but kept the same name/appearance. Or maybe you had a bug with old housing quarters etc. - TomC, thanks for all the work you put into this.
- Soooo I guess I have been to Rook Woods after all... I am at 1121, missing the 4 Cosma places. Makes sens! (?)
- (Oh TomC hun, may I suggest you add the "Cosma" test thinger to your top page under "Places that count" perhaps n__n I was really hoping they wouldn't lol)
