Giant List of Locations for Traveler Achievements (The Penultimate Update as of December 5 2012) Current Count: 1439
An ongoing mystery with street location qualification has finally been solved (after 22 days since this thread first opened on 2011/11/8). A major thank you to everyone who helped report results, data, and information. The key results and findings that were previously uncertain but now confirmed are:
Places that count: Everything in Jethimadh Tower, all one-time quest locations including The Back Alley and Rooks' Woods, both old Hell One and new Hell One. Four locations from the limited time only Cosma Performance Testing.
Places that don't count: Subway Stations, Machine Rooms.
Before the release of new streets in Rasana and Aranna, there were 774 confirmed locations, which matched the maximum, non-glitched high scores leading to confirmation in exactly which streets did or didn't qualify.

There's also a new secret spot hidden in one of the existing secret spots. Sorry I can't say more, but I am contracually prevented from doing so. Let's just say that it's a region in which only a portion of the light source is obscured by the occluding body. Know what I mean??

Okay, this is weird.
I was at 1209 yesterday, and tied for 42nd place. I'm VERY sure of that, because, well, it's 42. It's the meaning of life. It's what you get when you multiply 7x6. Knew it wouldn't last long, because eventually someone else would move up to 1210, and I'd be down to 43rd place.
Today, I've moved into 40th place. Still @ 1209.
Did 2 people get their accounts yanked in the past 24 hours????

Before the recent releases I was missing only Rooks Wood
So 1214 - Rooks Wood - 4 Newbie Quest locations =1209
I have Reminisced everything, more than once. I have the Completionist badges for the new regions, and they are checked off on the Encyclopedia
But I have only 1205
Why? What have I missed? -
Irenic, I put this through with another support request after I didn't get the Balazare completist.
Same thing has happened to me. Looks like some of the locations in the new areas have ticked off but not added to the locations we've visited list.
Devs said that the locations list is pure magic and an unknown quantity. They cant add up their end, and there is no way they could accept a count from us because some places count twice, others not at all and all that.
They said its on their list of things to sort out but not very high up there. Also that they understood I would like it to be a priority.
Edit although I'm now at 1212, I have old hell one, but no rooks woods. I did all the testing that was available with secret areas. I have reminiced everything all over again. The only thing that got me from 1209 to 1212 was playing all the box games. - There are only 3 Newbie Quest locations I thought. You might want to try all the quests on your Play Cube again. They all count differently than the first ever time you did those quests.

- How do i do the Autumn day quest again? I cant seem to find it :(
- If you've done the quest recently, you may have to wait at least 30-40 minutes or so and talk to a vendor again.

ok edit i think i need to talk to vendor not remanise - Ah yes for the first time you need the Talk to verb.
- Hot damn! The leader board has been purged of staff avis. Only regular players are on the list. The number 1 total is 1248. I am thrilled to be a number 4 at 1247. The only location I am missing is the Aquarius Party.
- I'm at 1244, missing Rooks Woods and the 3 newbie quest locations.... no idea what else i'm missing. one of the basement seams, possibly??
- Did you get all 3 different endings to An Autumn Day quest?

Yes indeed. Reading back through this thread it seems that I posted about missing Amberlyza, so I'll have to take another trip to the basements soon.
edit: got Amberlyza! hooray! - I don't know if you have already added this but I wanted to point out that An Old Fashioned B&E (B.T.C. Room #3) can be reminisced using the Play Cube.

There's something that I don't understand. Not long ago I had counted my things, and everything worked because I was missing, supposely, 4 newbie quests locations, and 4 tests locations...
But now I see a post by TomC as well as this update:
"•Update 42: Three new starter quest locations for learning some of the elementary skills: A L'il Animal Kinship, Breezy, EZ Cookin', Talking 'bout Soil Appreciation. It just so happens all three locations have an apostrophe in the name."
saying there's only 3 newbie quests locations... but why am I reading this as 4 anyways?
1- animal
2- breezy
3- ez cookin
4- soil
... no?
Getting confused u_u *poop* - elka-- "Breezy, EZ Cookin'" is one quest. So its 1.animal, 2.cooking 3.soil
- There is definately just 3 early quests as I saw a friend do them all the other day

So I guess you're missing something else too, elka. - How long does it take the leaderboard to update? I should be at 1258 locations, but it says I'm at 1203. I got all of Ormonos and Lida in one big walk just now, which adds up to the missing 55, so I'm hoping it's just lag.
- Leaderboards update only every few hours, usually at least once every 8 hours.
- Ahh, that makes sense. And I just got Globetrotter Extraordinaire for visiting An Autumn Day, so I'm not worried anymore that the locations didn't count :P Thanks!
- Congrats! But keep up with as many places visited as possible for the next few Glitch decades for the last achievement in this Traveller series is still unreleased!
- I'm at 1266 and I'm missing 4 locations (beginner quests and a party pack). Is their a previous location no longer available that you're not counting anymore? Because I'm seeing the max at 1270 if i could figure out how to get to the beginner quests. Oh, and what about Gentle Isle? That counts right? The numbers aren't adding up and I'm getting confused.

Gentle Island was a confusing and unsolved case. For new players, the locations have counted, but according to some of the older players that went there, the score did not go up for them. But it seems the 3 locations prior to Gentle Island may have counted (Cloud Intro, TR1, and TR2), but they may no longer count now either. So far no new players have reported whether or not their visits to the Gentle Island streets have counted, and I don't have any alt accounts, but if anyone would like to try, any data would be greatly appreciated.
There are many other previous locations (especially older versions of quests) that no longer count, so you probably have gotten one of those, but they would be too confusing to add to this list as in most cases only one location can be visited (either an older account that visited the old location but obviously can't visit the new location, or a new account that visits the new version of the location but of course wasn't around for the older version). -
Things have been borked for me since a few days. I am stuck at 1261.
I always was 4 behind due to test locations, so it means 7 behind with the 3 newbie quest locations... So I truely believe the max regular count for someone who has been to Rook Woods + Back Alley + Old Hell but never was to any undisclosed locations other than that is 1268. -
Hmm. I never got the Rook Woods & Old Hell One (but did get the back alley and all test locations). So, given that I'm missing all three newbie quests, my 1264 is right on. I think it's more likely that you have missed reminiscing a quest, one of the Autumn endings, or something similar...
--Me - That's the worst part! I've redone them all, over and over and over. I've reminisced everything more than once, and assured myself that I did each Autumn ending at least twice... So I am broken *meep meep* ;*(

You've drunk a cup of water recently?
You've reminisced your emo bear?
You've reminisced your conch and made sure you went to all four places?
You've been to the newest top (left) secret location?
You've been to Aquarius and Val Holla?
You've been to the B&E quest?
You've reminisced all the street vendor quests and all your play cube quests? (I know you've done that, but other people may be in a similar situation, and I'm trying to be complete)
--Me, the questioning, who's watched so much Phineas & Ferb that's all I can think of when you say meep (and I know it's misspelled). - Does reminiscing via the conch really add locations? I did that about 12 hours ago for the first time (i.e. the second time overall for Esquibeth) and nothing happened...Play Cube and Vendor quests all counted, but this doesn't seem to do anything?
- Reminiscing the conch / Esquibeth quest and the B & E quest are the only two reminisce quests that do not count as separate locations from the first time.
- Thanks-that explains it then! Now I have no idea what else I could be missing, and I'm stuck at 1259...I did all the things listed, I even have old Hell One - like elka, no idea what's wrong/missing...
