More adult NON SEXUAL content - Share your ideas!
So we have the cutesy stuff like Asslandia and the train costumes and the soon to be released piggycorn stuffs....
Now how about some more adult content?
I would love to see some casino's or some nightclubs - some dark and shady area's that you can expect to see drug trades going down in and wanted posters scattered around on the walls.
Id love to see more drugs in the game other than no-no powder too, that would be awesome.
Its probably a bit of a controversial point, but this is an adult game after all.
I changed the title and I am posting it here too... I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT SEXUAL CONTENT.

+1 i have noticed they have and are thinking of releasing some items, things etc which i see as things for kids (train costumes, the pig/uncorn/ponies thingies etc) but as it states in the ToS this is aimed at 14+ and i know that majority of the population of this game are 25+ i would love to see these kind of things too instead of the things i would see a child playing with/ wanting.
The thing people have to remeber is that they dont have to go to these places if they dont want to as no one is forcing them to. i dont like the new dino telepot thingy they have just come out with, i have never been nor will i ever feel the need to go as its just not my cup of tea. - An idea for a new drug - violet fog cigar - purple flower + rubeweed + paper - smoke it for a mood and img bonus but for the next 5 mins your glitches actions are slowed down by 10%.
- -1 Adult Concepts, and Innuendos are one thing, but a strip club is going way to far . I'm not against a bar,restaurant,or casino , maybe another drug. But implying sex references and innuendo is quite different than having a strip club or actual hookers, or violence. There are other games that have totally adult virtual places, Second Life is an obvious example. And SL in my opinion is a nightmare. Regardless of what our cartoonish bodies look like adding an element like that to Glitch, would attract ppl that would actively hit on players, who would not play nice, and would create a headache for the community. This game is designed to look cutesy, yes, its not meant to be realistic, and many of us come here to get away from the worries of reality, adding something like this...instead...brings the worries of reality here.

I agree with Lyrical DejaVu. This idea if implemented would change the whole atmosphere of Glitch, which is what appeals to me and keeps me coming back -

Asslandia and the upcoming mounts do exactly that already as Miki pointed out. But "whole" is an exaggeration in both cases. -
I agree a strip club and anything 100% sexually orientated would probably be a bad thing - But i mentioned a night club not a strip club, where I come from that is an over 18's club that plays music, has a dance floor and serves drinks.
I do not think having a darker / more sinister area in glitch would be a bad thing at all - I mean no one complains about hell... What I am proposing is no where near as dark as that.

And if something like this was added then you could always avoid it - just like I intend to avoid asslandia. - Meh. Don't really think we need darker and edgier for the sake of dark and edgy.

-1 to the adult sexual content. If you want this why not just go to Second Life or IMVU. We do not need this element to Glitch and any of the possible consequences such as those mentioned by Lyrical DejaVu. Bringing these concepts into the game would probably mean TS spending more people and resources making sure we are all safe and having a good time instead of bringing more content into the game such as locations and dealing with bugs and performance issues.
I'm not against another drug or two coming into the game but I really wonder how much of a different effect it could have on our game play. Unless something really creative comes up I do not think I would like more drugs.
Also, I'm also not against more meeting or socializing places but I think we should be careful not to turn Glitch into a cartoon version of real life and perhaps we should stay away from the more adult oriented places in order to do so. - I want real adult only stuff. Screw drugs and sex, what about filling in tax forms? We need 16 more levels of Bureaucratic Arts at LEAST.

I agree with Pyrrhocorax. I think we should also have mortgages for our houses and towers, insurance for the new mounts, credit ratings and attempting to navigate a political world that's verifiably insane without insulting anyone.

I do not know why people automatically presumed that I meant sexual content... I DID NOT... I am talking about area's that are a little darker - like desolate streets, dark forests - and more adult themed social hang outs like bars, clubs and casino's.
Id also like to see some more drugs in the game - No No powder is good - But drug use does not always end in death....
I also asked for idea's - Id like to know how you think we could add stuff like this and make it Glitchy and light hearted at the same time.

A friend of mine who no longer plays once described Glitch's atmosphere as thus:
"It looks all fun and cutesy at first, but there's some hints of something sinister lurking just under the surface, like one day something serious will happen."
I rather like the way things are- usually fun, occasionally ridiculous, with just a smattering of 'darker' content (and let's face it, Rook Attacks and No-No Powder aren't particularly dark). I vote -1 on drugging up Glitch.
As for shadier alleys and such, I'm leaning more towards no- with the only exception being if we get more smuggling-type missions and lore out of them. - (I'll note that I was joking there. We do enough of that shit in real life. I am 100% in favor of Glitch having a lot more butts and a lot less taxes.)

I think something like a night club area and/or casino would be great. I think we are short of places that draw people together.
Have already seen strip clubs set up in towers, so there is a seedy underbelly to Ur if you know where to look ;-)
We need some dark for balance, it is an adult game. -

You don't know why people jumped from "adult" to "sexual", really? It's a pretty easy leap, especially when "adult content" is routinely used as a euphemism for "has sex in".
My opinion stands tho' -- I'm with Wrench, I like the current balance, though I wouldn't say no to more smuggler-related shenanigans. - Instead of doing drugs in real life, you want to do them in a flash browser game? Ok...

Hell does not balance out all the cute and pleasant places in Ur and no, I do not understand how people jumped from "Adult" to "Sexual" - Adult to me means more serious, darker and something that would not appeal more towards children, perhaps because I am from England my definition varies from yours - Piggycorns, train costumes and cutesy dinosaurs that like to be swam through does not appeal to all of us - where is the balance for those things?
@Reirei Umezaki- Yes you hit the nail on the head with that - Id like to do more drugs in a flash game (your tone sounds like I should be doing them in real life instead), no one complains about the variety of alcohol, how would having a wider variety of drugs affect anything in a negative way?
@Zean - More serious rook attacks is exactly the kind of more adult content I was aiming at with this - Its something that would give this game more of darker edge so +1 - Thanks for contributing an idea - Even though there are already a lot of people calling for more and better rook attacks already - +1 to all of those too.
@Siculus The Epithet - Gambling on GoC and other stuff would be great - It would be a small step in the right direction for me to continue enjoying my glitch experience. Would you mind eleborating on your "shady horses running off-track" comment though please? :) -
re: adult vs. sexual - While the distinction between adult and sexual might be easy to see during a mature discussion, it's going to be less easy to see in practice, as some people will unfortunately take any excuse they can to turn things into sexual innuendo that is specifically directed towards other people, not caring that they are making people deeply uncomfortable, or possibly desiring that. Is that a reason not to have certain content? Not necessarily. Is it even going to happen in the vast majority of cases? With the way the game is now I definitely don't think so. But it's still very much something to consider.
re: nightclubs in towers - In my experience those usually end up being get together with your friends, people you already know and are comfortable with. Perhaps a nightclub party space would help recreate that sort of atmosphere, rather than a space out in Ur. - @diaveborn - the main reason I would like somewhere to socialise out in Ur as a pose to my tower is to meet people I do not know - I can socialise with my Glitch friends easily at any time - But I would like some connection with Ur other than just wanting to nip into cebarkul to use the tool vendor every now and then and to meet more of you awesome people in the game rather than just on the forums!

And saying that there are a bunch of different types of alcohol vs not a bunch of different drugs is baffling to me. Saying two different types of cocktails are equivalent to two different types of drugs is bizarre. -

And yes. Balance. I thought Wrench expressed it very well. I happen to like cute things, I don't believe that everything cute or pleasant is childish, and Hell is certainly not the only ~dark and edgy~ aspect of Ur. (I mean, have you been to Hauki Seeks Manor lately? Dang.)
I don't know, I assume most people play Glitch because they pretty much like it the way it is. I don't want it to be Neopets*, but I also don't want it to turn into Grand Theft Auto.
* Well, maybe the Neopets of ten years ago, when that too was a cute indie game aimed at young adults and not a Playskool nightmare. Fortunately I don't see TS selling out to Nickelodeon any time soon. - -1 to "more serious" (that's the sad part of being an adult)

And to be honest - all of the darker stuff is Glitchified and feels safe, even hell feels safe - I will give you an example of what I am thinking about so that you can understand what I am driving at better - Have you seen the "Rook Forest" wall paper? Well I love it, I would love to see an area that is like that rather than it just be for decoration - As for shady alleyways in this area there would be desolate versions of bureaucratic buildings - with a passage leading behind them.
Perhaps these run down versions of bureaucratic halls could be smuggler outposts, but I am not really worried if they would smuggler related or not. Even better still I would like one of them to be used as a social location like a night club - perhaps run by one of the lizards from the bureau who has had enough of paperwork and a crab who is tired of people playing him bad music and wants to play music himself as the DJ.

Here are a few more drugs that I would love to see implemented -
Piteous-vision mushrooms - made from mushrooms, essence of purple and no-no powder - after comsuming this there is a short delay, followed by hallucinations featuring the rook and all 11 giants, after the hallucination you receive 2000 iMG - but if you eat more than one per game day you die.
Purple chills - made from purple flower seeds, ice and no no powder - after consuming this you get a buff that periodically gives your glitch a small energy boost but while your energy is increasing you get a flash of purple and your Glitch "shudders" (moves back and forth slightly stopping any action that you currently doing. Using more than one per game day results in brain freeze and decreases learning time by 10% for the rest of the game day.
Home made energy brew - made from coffee, no no powder and essence of hairball - consuming this increases all of your glitches actions by 10% for a set duration. Using more than 3 of these in a game day results in a "massive crash" making you instantly super pooped for the rest of the game day.
How would stuff like this really make Glitch any worse of a place? :3 - Wrench touched on it a bit. I do agree we need a balance to things so that the game doesn't become all "fart and butt jokes". Many who are here, even though they are adults, enjoy childish humor and comical relief from real world problems. That in itself is a balancing act. We know we have to take care of our families, do the household chores, pay the bills, etc. then when we are finished with that we have the ability to relax and "jump around a bit". So, the game in essence, (figuratively speaking) let's us throw our toys on the floor and make a mess with the paints. Do we need a consequence to this? Do we eventually need to realize we have to clean up? Maybe/maybe not. Most of the game does have consequences already in place. Does the consequence outweigh the fun of doing it in the first place though? That is the question that I'm sure TS struggles with when adding stuff. Not everyone has to do/use all the elements of the game, but if too many people stay away from it then it detracts from the game. A clear cut idea of what you or others have in mind might help a bit. For example, I AM in favor of a clubhouse which would provide an atmosphere for get-togethers in a casual come and go type way. TS has already been looking into group houses. But if it were introduced as a "strip club" where you must be naked to attend and are encouraged to drink certain drinks and then face "drunken" consequences then absolutely not.

Well, that's the thing. If you are equating "Glitchy" with "safe", and you want more not-safe stuff, then you are by definition asking Glitch to be less like Glitch. Which seems weird to me.
(The focus on drugs is also weird to me, frankly, and at least as problematic as people focusing on sex. Like, that seems to be your main suggestion -- more drugs! more drug side effects! more places to do drugs and buy drugs!)
Again, I certainly don't think Glitch needs to be sanitized, and I don't object to more stuff in the vein of what we already have -- spooky locations, semi-comical NPCs of doubtful morals, evil but readily defeatable enemies, etc. But you seem to be saying that's not dark enough for you, and ... idk what to do with that stance, honestly. -
The fact that we have Hell...has been pointed out repeatedly. But first of all....its Hell its supposed to be somewhat dark. Also the dark aspect is downplayed, its ketchup, and tomatoes not blood. The tomato aspect, really makes it quirky, not scary at all. And thats kind of the key factor to this. Innuendo is done, in the same manner, goofy, something you can shrug off, not really blatant (in general) Things that are implied Vs. those that are right in your face, are quite different things. And Glitch does its best, to strive to keep that balance. I don't really want more drugs, it should be kept limited even if they do add more drugs at some point. As with anything directly gory, sexual, violent, ...if we start going for more realistic depictions of these, ( and i don't mean changing graphics) it just doesn't suit Glitch. And i wonder why some ppl would be seeking it here. Also, you can state the "you dont have to use it" argument til the end of time, but just the fact that its here at all, will attract the wrong type of players.
That being said, I do think some sort of social gathering places, even if its just different types of party packs, would be a good idea. And if we have to have a darker area, with the balance in line with the game mind you.....what about an area in game that is dark woods? with batterflies ?and Owls or some other night dwelling critters? This could be cool/cute (but not overly so)Along the lines of some of the street styles. -

so...yes to both of those :Das to the rest - i'm all for new items but also admit more drugs leaves me a bit wary, only because IRL i'm already more than tired of all the "OMGZ U GUISE, WEED, LEGALIZE IT, SO COOL LOL" people and would not be a fan of the game getting overrun with that. (i am not anti-drug here or IRL, but hopefully someone understands the type of person i'm getting at.) - Card games would be cool. A little texas holdem?

I support the idea to make this game less "plastic" and more "intriguing"..i played many years ago Secon Life that was a biggest success but just because was a real second life and u could be what u wish. Everyone have right make what he wish out of the game...
Boring factor will be a serious ISSUE on Glitch...

Everyone does have the right to make what they wish out of the game. This does not necessarily mean the game needs to change to accommodate the wishes of any player.

If we're talking spooky/dark, I would love some in-wUrld locations that use and deserve the Spooky Groddle theme music. I don't know what would be there, but certainly no cheerful animals. Maybe batterflies. No plants. Maybe a rock or two or some bogs. Mostly sparse. I don't know what purpose they would have, I just want them.
Tbh I really just want to hear Spooky Groddle more often.
I'm so not in to more drugs. It would get redundant. It already feels redundant. I mean, who really does Purp after the 10th time? It gets boring.
