Grinding for XP

So today, between lvl 10 and lvl 11 I hit a need to "grind" for XP for the first time [harvest to get money to buy snowcones]. potentially because of my skill choices this came really early in lvl 10 for me.

Three thoughts:

- with everyone in game i hit a pocket of easily 20 mins where i was going from zone to zone finding no harvestable trees. Grinding and making progress is one thing, grinding and using the only 10 beans you found to stay alive takes all the fun out of running around. If the game was open for 20mins longer i would have gotten enough $$ so i wasn't really in a dead end, just bored.

- maybe skill choices and resulting quests are too important to leveling progress when there is no hint that they will be. I haven't compared XP gains for each part of the tree [unfortunately wasn't paying attention] but I think i had too much coverage over the middle part of the tree rather then picking harder items [though I did see some comments about screwing up the order of skills picked and not having "pre-reqs" for completing quests.

- Animal XP seemed to come far easier then Gardening XP. I was just petting pigs repeatedly until i used energy and was just about full. Gardening takes many one use [or 3 use] items in game. For pacing i'd either have a limit to how many times you can pet a pig or make gardening XP come more often.

Not really complaining, I know there will be plenty more to do, just wanted to point out game mechanics to watch out for.
