Dahlia?!? Why would you lace Xim's tissue with ---e P-----?!? Oh, my. I thought we were friends. It's so clear now! First the wombat, then the annihilation of Blanky, and now a catatonic Xem... (backs away slowly...)
Well, that didn't work...[slumps next to Xim's still body and hangs head in defeat]...still, I can't help but feel like there's something we're missing...
I agree, Dahlia. There has to be a meaning of life. The meaning of this thread is to reach an end... Shall we believe the same is true for life? If so, I'm fulfilled.
TBD is short for Theobald, after my grandgrandgrandpa Theobald BTW Sparklynuts, who knew the mines of Pollokoo like the palms of his hands. Which was kind of pointless, since he spent all his life in Chakra Phool, researching why Grendaline used jellysacs to gargle. He travelled only once, to the Ancestral Lands, when a friend of his summoned him to spend the holidays in the legendary area known as Distant Drag F, Xalanga. Those were the most exciting ten minutes in all his existence.
(By the way, BTW is short for Bartholomew, my grandgrandgrandpa's grandgrandgrandpa, whose story I'll leave for some other post.)
Wowzers! What a coink-i-dink! My father, Thornberry DreadNaught's middle name is BRB, short for Barb...My grandparents' thought was that giving him a more feminine middle name would help build character. That, and Wolf Nipplechips was already his brother's middle name. Though why one would feel a need to shorten Barb to BRB is beyond me!
Really! Maybe I would have gone for Barnabas, even if it's too New-Testamentish for my taste.
Did I tell you about my grandauntie (is that a word?) AM AFK Sparklynuts? Everybody was happier calling her "Amafk! Amafk!", than using the lung-exhausting, geography-abusing "Amerika Afrika! Amerika Afrika!"
And you can imagine how everybody called (and loudly laughed at) my grandgrandma Lollipop.
My great uncle from my neighbor's brother's side Fonzworth Lollygagger (FTW LOL) is related to Wolf Nipplechips. They were in the great tree war of Ix together. I have an old chromograph gelatin silvertin of them in front of the Great Ladder.
Dahlia..Ximenez, your family histories are fascinating! Ximenez, I had no idea you were from the famous Sparklynuts clan. I'm quite impressed with you both, I must say. My pedigree is rather hush-hush..a bit of a scandal. My mother was swept off her feet by a handsome wandering miner, named Crusher. My grandfather referred to him as "that pickass NPC".
Ooola: The amazing No-Pants Crusher! His adventures (shall I say his legends?) were told by the campfires, at night, when I was a Glitchling.
My mother was born a Sparklynuts. That's why my last name is Ximenez. I don't have a first name, nobody bothered to provide me with one. I confess that my main goal in Ur is to find a suitable first name for myself.
LP Ximenez (short for Last Post Ximenez) would do just fine.
While I find our genealogical histories both fascinating and—in the case of Wolf Nipplechips and Fonzworth Lollygagger—surprising, I see the true intentions of these posts for what they are...
I must apologize for the tone of my last post...I was on a "hangover" debuff, and feeling the after-effects of a rather raucous Glitchmas Eve party...
I am feeling much better today, thank you, and can see the LP for what it was...a joke! Yes, that must be it, because it would be rather presumptuous for you to think we would just rename you "Last Post"...
Fizk! I know I have another key in here somewhere! [rummages around in Bigger Bag, looking for the teal/white hexagon key....or, was it the blue/orange circle key?]
Crap!
