  • For the boys -- steak tacos, saffron rice and black beans. For me -- black beans, grilled veggies and saffron rice on fresh tortillas.

And fresh salsa made with what we have grown this summer.

    YUM!

  • Taco Bell? serfer0, you know about the meat hose, don't you?

Drat, I just tried to find the youtube link and it was no longer available. It was a whole 3 or 4 minutes of a comedian talking about how he went into taco bell one day and they told him the "meat hose" was broken.

I don't eat at taco bell anymore. :)

  • After taking the Labrador to the river (where else?) a wonderful meal of spaghetti tossed with butter and freshly grated Parmesan cheese, a salad of garden fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and fresh mozzarella dressed with the best balsamic and Tuscan herb infused olive oil (a real splurge), homemade "Texas toast", and just to be really mean a frosty gin and tonic with fresh lime wedges. Cheers!

PS All eaten while watching a documentary on Netflix about Monty Python. Could it get any better? Only if Glitch were open!

  • Oh! I missed that. Happiest of birthdays to you! By the way if you don't already have a Google+ account here, there are several of us here who can set you up with an invite. There is also a spreadsheet that you can add your Google+ name and Glitch name to as well as links to you the pertinent profiles. Note: We probably need to add Facebook and names to that link.

  • Last night we had Roast Lamb for an early dinner, with roasted parsnips and potatoes.
Some green shrubbery stuff for him that eats that kind of thing (possibly spinach), courgettes (aka Zucchini), Deep fried courgette flowers in batter and Yorkshire Pudding :D

Followed by Pear tarte tatin which was delicious :D
It was a late lunch/ early dinner combined, which is why there was so much of it :)

  • Yum roast lamb :P  Hmm grilled herb chicken and a freshly made ratatouille.  I usually enjoy that but for some reason, this time, I didn't!  Oh well, followed by a lovely cold, crispy, sharp Granny Smith's!

  • Drove out of the city for tonkotsu ramen with friends after 4 hours of grueling rock climbing. The spot makes the most amazing broth and adds big chunks of pork belly stewed for hours.

  • Wow Ebil.......that sounds so amazing that my mouth is watering!  I love lamb!  Courgette flowers are so hard to find here. I could only ever have them if I grew my own. And, with our current heat wave and no water, my garden has died :(

I will have to do this once it all grows back :)
