Please explain how this auction works, when it ends, etc. and you'll have to reveal the reserve so to prevent market manipulation.

Can you give the reserve amount, so people know where to start? It keeps us from wasting your time, and you from wasting ours.

Not bidding, but just some words to consider. While you may not use your pickle, Beta will never happen again, and you will not be able to get it back unless someone decides to sell it. This obviously means that this item is pretty rare. I would start your reserve at at least 10K.:)

I've updated the main post. The starting bid is now 60k. I will not take lower since if the game gets popular your looking at a lot more than that after the economy takes off.

Has the pickle been used to get the GNG as yet please?
While we're unsure about if it's one GNG per pickle or one per owner of the pickle, it's important to know.

the pickle really isn't worth buying. or selling, for that matter.
if people want to try out a pickle, befriend a beta player and ask to borrow it for a bit, then give it back.
it doesn't do so much that owning one permanently is worth the trouble. sometimes it spawns a GNG musicblock, sometimes you are randomly teleported, but mostly other, more minor stuff happens.

In response as to why its worth your 60k +:
Like party hats in runescape they are for fun/aesthetics but in the end after a while it will become worth a lot more than this due to rarity.
Thats a reason to buy, you will eventually make a lot.

It might not be worth it to you, striatic, but to others it apparently is. Some people simply like owning "rare" or "special" things, whether they've got a practical use or not.
Others may be thinking of the future boon it could prove to be after hanging onto it for a long time and reselling at a much higher price when someone that wants one is willing to pay even more.
That said, I would encourage people considering the purchase of the pickle to go to your link and determine if they truly want it (or to hold onto it for a while), especially if they don't know much about it, and it is nice that you are warning those that may prefer the item to be practical.

striatic: Yeah, they doesn't do much, but the beta testers like 'em because they show they were part of the beta community. They have sentimental value.
...Why a non-beta tester would want one is beyond me. Which I guess is what you're saying. ;)

I think in short people are curious and those who know exactly what they do and still want one, want it for either 'show off' reasons or to sell at a later date.

Sounds like the GNG blocks can be generated more than one per pickle?
