are you in colorado?? we used to (moved) hike the high lonesome trail often, seeing as how the weather window was so short. kind of looks like this and follows part of the great divide. I mean, obviously, you're in Vantalu, just saying...

I've been but it's been a long time ago (I live in Kansas). It sort of reminded me of camping.

If you are a hiker and you go to colorado again, it is a great hike, but so is the whole area: Arapahoe National Forest, Indian Peaks Wilderness and Roosevelt National Forest. If you ever do go, late August is a good time for less snow pack.
