Snaps by Voluptua Sneezelips

This is a whole-house board game version of The Floor is Lava, using Glitchen as the playing pieces. Players roll dice and move across the furniture (by counting the pot lights marking the spaces), hoping to miss the spots with no furniture (the lava!)--and the penalties, which include anything from moving back a few spaces to dying...and moving back a few spaces. The winner is whoever reaches the leftmost wall on the top floor first.

This was a joint project between FyodorD and me. I mentioned it as a "wouldn't it be cool if..." idea, never dreaming it would actually happen. If it wasn't for him, it wouldn't have happened. He was right there every step of the way, offering up his house, his time, and his deco skills. We started it on Thursday and finished it on Tuesday after a LOT of workshopping and fine-tuning. It was an absolute, insult-riddled pleasure to work together and I had a fantastic time doing it. Thank you, Fyo. So much. As ever and always.

Thanks also to our...victims...for playing along. Several died for the cause; we hope it wasn't in vain. You sure looked good doing it.

We thought about doing a "rubber wall" version in which you'd have to roll exactly to reach the end (and move backwards if you didn't), but what with the feat, we kept it short. Don't you worry--we'll play again!!
