I used to buy toys from Petsmart because both petsmart and petco were listed by the aspca as being puppy and kitty mill free, since they only support cat and dog adoption. But, grrr, if you check in with PETA, they list both places and using dreadful mills for their smaller pets, birds etc. Ugg, I'm there right with you! I'll bring my battle hax (yes, hax, a weapon I made up just now!). Its name is Urlia, Defender of the Very Small and Adorable, Haxor of the Meek, Protector of the Small but Attractive. end

This had me laughing so hard, I had to read it to hubby. The lengths some people will go to explain away a typo!! Of course, now I want my own battle hax! (btw, I don't usually pay attention to PETA, unless it's the version that stands for People for the Eating of Tasty Animals.)

Whoo, go Minkey and Urlia! Taking it a step further: If you go into Petsmart (or PetCo, I forget which now, probably both) they sell beta fish in tiny little cups. The fish have no room at all to swim, or to hardly turn around. Fish gotta swim! I called and asked if they switch them out, giving them aquarium time...they said no. So I wrote an "official letter of complaint" (read: nasty email). I'll bring my trident and join you in battle...its name is Delphina, Defender of All Finned Friends.

Darn it, now I have one of my fave Pagan chant-songs stuck in my head: Fur and feathers and scales and skin / Different without but the same within / Many a body but one the soul / By all creatures are the gods made whole. Meh....there are worse earworms to be had. ;)

LOLOL! I have nothing against worms, I think they're cute...esp the little green inch-worms. Awwww! :D :D
