I did rename him "Dante", so at least he'll die with a classy name. I wonder how he got there and how to get him out?

My theory about how they get into hell is that people die with hog tied piggies and they escape while the person is still in hell.

oh so using pig bait works in hell. reason to carry it around then!

IIRC, Potion of Animal Youth works in hell too, and they are way handier than baits, as piggies in distress would, too often, stubbornly refuse baiting/ too sad to care about pig baits. :((
