Croppery Skill

Is it just me... or are we already able to do croppery without having the skill?
I bought a house, which contained a garden, and I planted seeds and grew stuff.
I didn't get as far as the croppery skill whilst playing, but it sounds to me like something I was already doing!

• I observed the same. I theorized that because some crops could only be grown in a garden, they temporarily nixed the requirement to have Croppery, to let players test the cooking recipes earlier (though, you still need level 5 for fruit changing to cook many recipes...).
