Giant List of Locations for Traveler Achievements (The Penultimate Update as of December 5 2012) Current Count: 1439
An ongoing mystery with street location qualification has finally been solved (after 22 days since this thread first opened on 2011/11/8). A major thank you to everyone who helped report results, data, and information. The key results and findings that were previously uncertain but now confirmed are:
Places that count: Everything in Jethimadh Tower, all one-time quest locations including The Back Alley and Rooks' Woods, both old Hell One and new Hell One. Four locations from the limited time only Cosma Performance Testing.
Places that don't count: Subway Stations, Machine Rooms.
Before the release of new streets in Rasana and Aranna, there were 774 confirmed locations, which matched the maximum, non-glitched high scores leading to confirmation in exactly which streets did or didn't qualify.

There's also a new secret spot hidden in one of the existing secret spots. Sorry I can't say more, but I am contracually prevented from doing so. Let's just say that it's a region in which only a portion of the light source is obscured by the occluding body. Know what I mean??

I doubt very much you will get to 2nd place. I am missing about 5 locations right now and usually sit 2 or 3 behind the 3rd leader. Some locations are no longer achievable. Good luck in at least getting as far as you can before he fat lady sings :) -

Good luck in at least getting as far as you can before the fat lady sings :) - Seems like the locations page isn't showing everything, as I've been to every location and am sitting at 1427 when the only location I haven't done is Rook's Woods. Seems like it's bugged for some of us, sadly.

I didn't mean that I would get there =-), I was just using that figure to illustrate what I need.
I guess I should actually be using 1,438 as the theoretical maximum, and subtracting the 6 locales I know I can't access. That would mean the best I can hope to achieve is 1,432. Right now I'm at 1,423. So I need to find the 9 or so places I haven't been to yet. I know I need Griinolyza, Purplysia, the Penumbra puzzle thingy, and (I think) two parties (is there an Aquarius?). After that I'm stumped. I'm going to back over the towers to be sure I didn't miss anything.
BTW, where is Gentle Isle? People mention it, but I can't find any info on it. I'm not sure if I've done it. If I can add five from that I might just have something... - @Sol Hawk E-yon is a Dev and Joby is ex-staff so both have had access to staff-only locations. It is unlikely that many of us could equal their counts. I also probably have at least 3 locations not available to many players due to being a Greeter. This, however, has not helped me place into the Top 10 - lol!
- Thanks for all the great info. Now that I'm becoming better acquainted with this it looks like 1,427 will be the best I can hope for. I'm at 1,426 now, so 1 to go!
- The Vortex of Random has 16 listed locations, and 6 unlisted ones that I have found (Apt Tree Lobby, Apt Tree Floor 1, Apt Tree Floor 2, Apt Tree Basement, Growing Stuff and Snowed In).

I did it! I have 1,427, tied for 77th place. From what I've learned there are 6 locations that are now gone, that I'll never be able to access: Animal Farm, Hell One (pre-Naraka), Rooks' Woods, Soulful, Soulless, and The Construct. After that is Gentile Isle which I believe had 5 locations. That's 11 inaccessible to me. Add that to my 1,427 and you get 1,438, which equals the top spot (aside from the TS folks).
And a VERY BIG thank you goes out to all of those who worked so hard to compile the guides that made my effort possible! HUZZAH! - Congrats Sol Hawk! There are still some people who are in Soulless and Animal Farm that could summon you. I'm still working on the list, so much to update in just a week of inactivity!

I'm half-assedly looking for a trip/port to Rook's Woods if anyone wants to hooks me ups tomorrow.
Also, I'm looking to set up parties in Pitchen Lilliputt and Winter Whingding if anyone still needs those...LET ME KNOW (tomorrow) - Could someone explain the apartment tree places? are they in the vortex?

I would LOVE that. How do we do it? I guess we need a willing host?
Or...if these places still "exist," but aren't linked to the world, is there a way that TS could reopen them? That way everyone could have the chance to experience them. I have no idea how much effort something like that would entail, so my apologies if it's a naive suggestion. And combined with the very generous avatar and snaps archive that TS is doing, it may simply be asking to much. -
a while back there was a bug, that if you had the Rook's Woods in your quest log - you could still visit it. And i'm assuming if we all follow that person, we could get there too.
I'm not sure that bug's still extant - Sorry about the delay, the list has been updated. The list does not currently include any of the Gentle Island and tutorial streets though, so the counting interpretation is just based on pre-new tutorial.

One thing though: you have missed listing the Apt Tree Basement. So that makes 6 unlisted ones in the Vortex of Random. - Thank you TomC!

- So...with the updated total of 1,439, that meant I was still missing one (according to my figuring). So I looked over the list and realized that I hadn't been to Distant End and uutiif. Now I'm at 1,429! But that's only a difference of 10 from the listed total and I know I'm missing 11. Did the omission of the apt tree basement from the list change the total? Is the grand total now 1,440?
- The total was 1438 before the Apt Tree Basement and now 1439 with it. Which 11 are you missing? That could mean you got an extra street somewhere else (such as a quest location that was updated, thus will count twice).

FYI, my first day here in Glitch was 10/29/12. - Hm, if you joined in October this year, you should have already been to Gentle Island right? That was the beginning of the game starting with Cloud Intro, TR1, TR2 etc.
- I forgot Gentile Island (so long ago!). In that case I suppose I should be able to get to 1433? Hmm, so I still need 4 more...
- Yeah generally people are missing some quests here and there. If you double check every location that's shown on the list by default (those are all the ones not in the main Encyclopedia listing), you should have the max.

I still haven't gotten the new Quests to trigger. Is there some trick?

--Me - The quests were just given to players when released, but not sure what the triggers are. I heard just Level 11?
- Gentile Isle? Surely their must be some of the chosen people allowed in or is it one of those country clubs?

Between the glitchium.com/locations list and the updates mentioned above I figured it out. I'm now at 1433!
I'm hoping and praying that some kind soul will help me get to Animal Farm, Rooks' Woods and/or Soulless. Only 4 days left... - Wow very impressive Sol Hawk! You've managed quite a high score in just over a month of playing!
