Butterfly Lifespan?

I had 5 butterflies in my yard. I placed them about a week ago. I raised them back up from babies (had AY'd them before the reset). I sang to them at least once per day. They all disappeared today. In my old yard (in Kajuu) I had the same 5 butterflies for the the ENTIRE time I lived there. Why did they die so quickly? Is this a bug or have their lifespans been nerfed?

• Regularly milked butterflies live for about 6 RL days.

• 6-7 days for butterflies is about average for me. 
  
  Sounds more like you had a bug (advantageous) in your Ur house

• Singing provides a small boost to lifespan, but the non-stop collectors still wear them down relentlessly.

• Ah, okay then. I guess I just got lucky before. Sadness, I'm going to miss those butterflies :(
