Saving changes to notes on note poles doesn't always work
I keep a note on a note pole of all the cubimals I am collecting, marking the list each time I get a new one or one for the releasable box. However, although I carefully read, then update the note and then save changes, often when I come back to read the note again, my changes have not been saved.

- I should also add that I still have spare characters to play with (several hundred) so that shouldn't be the cause of the problem.

OK - so just diagnosed the problem further. If you don't have a quill in your inventory, you can apparently edit the note and save it ... then, I suppose, not surprisingly, it doesn't save anything - as you didn't have a quill! Bring in a quill and the changes get saved as expected on the note pole.
So may be there should be a warning that one can't edit the note on a note pole unless one has a quill in the inventory? Or the option should be grayed out (as is the case when trying to write on paper in an inventory slot).
