What's the limit to the number of messages they can receive?

• Five packages and five messages, meaning your butler can carry up to 10 items. The limit is pretty small, and the only record you get is a line in Local Chat, which is easy to lose track of. so it's usually a good idea to send important items or messages using mail instead.
