Im on my phone and I pressed it and it just reloaded the screen. That's what made me post this lol
Also I googled permalink and it just made me more confused lol. -
i pressed it; i got ice cream.
also a small planet far away exploded, but thats not important right now. i has ice cream! - When you link a permalink to someone, they see the comment you want someone to see. Notice how it's after every post/reply.

I dropped my ice cream =( - and Rook I still dont get it =/ maybe I'm more of the hands on example type but yeah such confusion.

The permalink link underneath every comment isn't really there for people to click on... it's there for people to copy & post somewhere else. It's a link that points directly to a specific comment on a thread.
So if I wanted to send you directly to kevbob's update on the Missing Moving Boxes thread, I could either say "go to http://www.glitch.com/forum/general/21052/ and scroll down lots until you see kevbob" or I could say "go to http://www.glitch.com/forum/general/21052/221644/"
That second link I got from the permalink under his comment. You right-click on "permalink" underneath the comment and then select "copy link address" and then paste it into your comment (instructions might vary slightly if you're using a Mac or a weird browser) - it's a direct link to a post instead of showing the whole thread.

Permalink is a special ink that is extracted from the anal glands of the rare Perma (Permal being the descriptive for the species). It is invisible, and interestingly enough, nontoxic. The smell is often described as reminiscent of something ancient
Permafrost is a colloquialism to describe the look and attitude you receive from a Perma when you extract said ink (note: the "l" is left off in this case for some obscure grammatical reason) - I PRESSED THE BUTTON! but i got stew instead of icecream.....and its not even awsome......
