Oh yeah lol just when I think I have it bad some level 60s I'm sure had 10 or more boxes to open! Imagine the treasure explosions in their house!

After opening my boxes I found out that you can pick the boxes up and use the inventory search to remove items.

Sure now you tell me lol! Apparently it helps to read the directions first?
