[problem with viewing something on the iPad] Strange Symbols

Hi- the family iPad is completely drained of energy at the moment.

Can you describe if this is seen everywhere, just when composing a message, it just happened that once, or it's like that every time?

Just happened a couple times...not just in mail. It happened in a forum post, and a couple times on my profile. Yeah, thanks for editing the title, it's probably important to know that this only happened on the iPad. :D
