Plain Metal Ingots in recipes

Whenever a recipe calls for a Plain Metal Ingot, there is no link within the recipe to create the Plain Metal Ingot.

This has come up before, but I don't think it's been addressed:  http://www.glitch.com/forum/ideas/11756/

RELATED:
When using the smelter, it would be nice to know how many chunks of metal rock are needed to create an ingot, instead of having to guess.

• Five chunks per ingot.  I usually just ask it to Smelt all and then I may have leftovers or not.

• I know it's 5 chunks... but I shouldn't have to know that. I don't think we have to know that for any other tool.

• You need to know for obtaining crop seeds from piggies, and guano from batterflies, spinning fiber into thread... part of the fun for me was figuring out how many of an ingredient it took for the unlisted things like that.
  
  But as for a "Make more" button for ingots, several +1s.
