My Butler Has Amnesia?

I logged in to find I had a package (not talking mail) from a friend yet my butler said I had no visitors. Is this supposed to be like this?

• When was the last time you checked the visitors list? I think that your butler only records the visitors in your street for one game day, then starts fresh at the start of another game day. So it has a 4 hour memory.

• I've been too sick to be on for the last few days and if what you say is true, then that is not cool.
  My visitors deserve to be announced no matter how long they've visited before I'm able to play again :-(

• No, I'm certain the butler remembers longer than 4 hours worth. Perhaps he doesn't tell you when someone visited if they leave a package - after all, if they left a package, they obviously visited.
