Downtime Announcements?

Very new to the game, am still figuring out where things are. I didn't even know there were auctions until this morning, when I had time to poke around since...the game's down.

Is there anyplace where downtimes and closures get announced? Not on the blog, and not here, anyway, not on the main page for the game, either. Nor the Facebook group. Didn't get an email notification. I did see some tweets from this past week saying the game would go down the 30th, but...I had to go looking for them. Some kind(s) of centralized notifications would seem to be in order, especially as the game moves toward beta and wide release. And there is my only two cents from my few days of play, really.

Anyway, looking forward to the return in the new year.
