crafty bot can't find my oats

I've tried having both the oats and the bot in my inventory.  I've tried bot on the floor with oats, and I've tried bot on the floor with oats in an SDB.  Still he cannot find said oats.  Ideas?

  • you gather all the materials. then give them to him.

  • when you say "give" what do you mean?  I've put them in the same place.  I have dropped oats on him etc etc.  He can find everything else.

  • to craft. gather materials for a crafting that involves oats. then you have them. he wont take them for a craft unless you have everything for the craft. then go onto him and click Craft. it will take you into a menu. choose what tool you want him to use. then click the recipe. click add to Queue. when you have the all the ingredients, it will automaticly craft.
