Let's just say it is very good.
Or rather, while the quiet itself is not very good (and is, in fact, very much to be regretted), the underlying causes are all good.
We are very, very close to having two very large features complete – the first being "jobs" (projects to create and upgrade new locations) and the second The Rook, the first bit of "bad" in the game – and neither of them are the kind of thing which do much when half-done.
Along the way, a ton of other small features, tweaks and bug fixes are being done (some of which have already been seen in the quiet tests a few weeks ago) and we are finishing the transition to the new "Groddle" style, a new public website and blog, and a new trailer.
We'll resume testing with a pair of quiet ones (one each for jobs and The Rook) and then, once we know the kinks are out, do the biggest rounds of invites yet.
And at that point we'll also be blogging and tweeting (and testing!) regularly as the emphasis switches away from feature development to gameplay & balance experiments, more new locations, content (in the form of quests, etc.) and building out avatar customization to support hundreds of options. - That sounds awesome! I can't wait!!!!

Oh yeah - damnit. It is actually all ready, but sometimes when you want to cause stories about you to get in the paper, you have to wait until editors are ready before putting things live on the internet (and we realized over the weekend that it was going to be a big tech news week, what with FB mail, Apple, Web 2.0 conference, etc.)
The trailer is sweet in a way that only Eric Cartman can really verbalize. -
