• -1 This is not an idea. What do you want pets to be like and what do you want them to do? We already have Piggies etc, put them in your house and they're basically pets...

• While I normally love having pets in games, in this case I have to agree with Afterlife. Don't want to have to worry about feeding and space of having piggies and whatnot at your house? Buy or have someone make an egg for you. Incubate it, but don't feed it so it never grows up.
  
  True, it just sits there but that's basically all any pet would do at this point. Unless you count being able to follow you around, which is pointless and would probably get really annoying after a while. Also, very likely to cause lag.
