Better placement when harvesting crops?

When harvesting crops, can we please have the crop item just picked pop up someplace OTHER than smack in front of the middle of the plot you're trying to harvest, where it blocks you from picking the middle of your plot?  It's a minor annoyance, I know, but it's an again and again and again and again annoyance that builds up over time into a major frustration.
