Key Rings?

First post in the forums, so I don't know if this has been considered before, but has a key ring been considered as a specialized container, like the spice rack or element pouch?  It would be a bit more slick than just having a bag dedicated to keys. One might even be able to earn/craft/collect master keys (i.e. keys that aren't spent, but would have a once-per-day use) to put on the key ring.

  being able to craft keys could be an interesting way to visit some hidden zones or shortcuts like the seams
  or maybe it could be associated/related with teleportation to be a traveling related skill fueled by crafting keys
  something like a teleportation gate which require crafted keys to open
