Cloudbursting... or something like it.

So I was thinking about Glitch the other day and about how imagination it a major part of the game.  Imagination is something that we develop as children in many ways and I think clouds are very important to imagination.  Clouds change shape and we use our imagination to decide what shape it is. and since clouds are rarely ever sharp it can be something different to each person.

I think it would be neat if we could manipulate the cloud shapes in Glitch and perhaps make some sort of multiplayer experience out of it.  Such as, 'cloud guessing' where glitchen on a street try to define a cloud shape and img awarded to the best answer, by vote. or glitchen on a street each pick a cloud to meditate on keeping it in one shape for a period of time, the one that holds out the longest wins.  Or at the very least, make clouds dynamic instead of static.  Cloudbursting, mentioned in "The Men Who Stare At Goats" is a way of holding a cloud in a certain shape for a period of time.  The character in this movie cloudbursts in order to "keep in shape".  Cloudbursting can be used in Glitch as a new and fun way to replenish mood or energy; and add a new dynamic layer to the game.

  • Instead of having it automatically take a shape, what if people actually have to shape the cloud?
