Here's a way we can deal with the secondary (but still important contributors) to road projects.
Instead of giving food, supplies, fireflies, etc, to players; they 'check it in' to the project itself... the street spirit hosting it. Other players can then check it out. To make sure they use it for good it could only let them if they've contributed some of the type that it turns into.. ie contributing bricks will let you at the fireflies people contribute to the project.
This way you can track credit and progress for materials and food etc.
