Purple owls are the best thing yet. I love what Ooola did with them: lem.to/p/X5Kz.
Also, as I prefer the old thick twig version of the rook bed if anyone wants to sell me their old bed and/or the old coffee table I will pay mega big bucks or trade you heaps of furniture to your specifications. Send me a mail or IM me.
You can see the old rook end table here: http://lem.to/p/2wbW
I agree that the new twigs look more nest-like, but I wouldn't call it an aesthetic improvement WRT the end table.
Yeah, the old Rook stuff was cool. Feel free to blame me for making the decision to pull 'em! But if I were the original designer of the nest bed that we used as inspiration, I think I'd find it a little too close for my tastes. And a little miffed and think this Tiny Speck company sure is slimey for selling it for credits.
To make up for it, I promise we will work extra hard to come up with new unique stuff that is better than this rook set and the old rook set combined@!!!!!1
After hearing your full explanation here and on forums I feel as though you made a good decision ala the Puglist grill and Hommnid home. Trust me, TS have had more original ideas than you can shake a dusty stick at. For the record, I always preferred Paul Pfeiffer over Kevin any day. There's something to be said for the bowl haircut [ahem].
I like the new Rook-Design.
Combined with some old ones, i will perhaps make a Rookroom soon. It looks now much more like a nest then some crude timbered planks (which is nice on its own).
