Against the background? I'd go for a mix of the first two columns. They look the best in the dark room.

I like the first column. (going left to right)

the two middle have the best aesthetic against the background and the contents. gives more of a 3d effect

If you want to give the impression that the items are stored IN the wall I'd opt for the leftmost. If you want a 3D effect but not too much contrast, the second from the left.

2nd column. the 3rd and 4th distract too much, the 1st blends in too much.

I like column 1, the cubi's just seem framed, not boxed in.

First column on left looks best to me :)

I agree with everyone here. *cackle*

I'd go for the black (granite) or the dark grey (black glass), with slight preference for the black glass, because I like how it picks up on the grey at the top of the ashen black branches side table.

The darker ones look really good to me. Seems the cubimals are flying through the woods and they show up well.
